East (towards Troy). Cross bridge. At second traffic light, make a
left onto Route 40 North. Careful – speed limits strictly
enforced.
Go about two miles to a traffic light
and large intersection. Continue on Route 40 North (Route 40 will
turn to the right and then a quick left at this intersection, where
it crosses over Route 142 ).
Continue on Route 40 North for about 20
minutes. You will pass through the community of Melrose. Next, you
will cross over the Hoosick River and continue through the village
of Schaghticoke.
Go straight at the light in Schaghticoke
and continue until Route 40 ends at the junction of Route 29. Take
Route 29 East through the community of Greenwich (you will come to
the new section of Greenwich first, and then go through the older
historic section of town). At the traffic light in the older section
of Greenwich, Route 29 will bear to your left, but you should keep
going straight on Main Street, which will put you on Route 372.
Take Route 372 out of town. As you cross
over the Battenkill River, Route 372 will make a sharp turn to the
right and then one to the left. About 3 miles down the road, Route
372 will make another sharp left turn (Easton Volunteer Fire Company
building on corner) – do not make the turn, but rather go straight
onto Route 74A. We’re about a mile down the road – third driveway on
the left #402.
